Together with other groups, VT Seva Chicago volunteers helped pack 6,100 lbs of food (including apples and cereal bars), which will benefit around 5,900 families. We know your time is precious, so a big thank you to everyone who participated and made a positive impact in someone's life!

Volunteers made posters to advocate about environmental issues last Saturday. These posters shared simple messages about taking care of our planet to help raise awareness in our community

On June 3rd, a group of volunteers from VT Seva came together at the Northern Illinois Food Bank. They work with food pantries and soup kitchens to help those who lack food by distributing non perishable and perishable foods that they can choose based on their needs. With utmost enthusiasm, these volunteers engaged in the task of sorting and carefully labeling cans. Great job to those who volunteered! On July 22, VTSeva volunteers sorted and packed cans at Northern Illinois Food Bank with utmost dedication. Volunteers who made a difference: Sahithi Ranga, Sridevi Ranga, Sruthi Ranga, Atrey Iyer, Lakshmi Immadisetty, Mohisha Immadisetty, Ananya Challuri.

On Sunday September 17, 2023, VTSeva volunteers gathered to find more new volunteering activities for the future. They had many flyers from a high school service fair and researched more about those organizations and compiled all that information on a document. Thank you all those who participated !!

On Mar 11th 2023, VTSEVA Chicago (Buffalo Grove area) volunteers participated in Food packing even at Feed My Starving Children. Along with other volunteers, our volunteers helped to pack 25,056 meals, which can feed about 68 kids for whole year! 5 adult & 10 youth volunteers participated in this event from VTSEVA.

On Saturday Aug 12th, 8 youth & 2 adult volunteers joined a fry for packing session at Feed My Starving children food bank.

On Sept 9th, 9 youth & 3 adults participated in dry food packing activity at Feed My Starving children!

On May 6th, VTSEVA Volunteers Srinija Chitturi & Agastyaa Chitturi attended FMSC volunteer session at Naperville location. This is their first volunteering activity with VTSEVA (welcome!!!) and they both loved the experience!

Feb/08/2020: VT SEVA Chicago volunteers packed food and prepared them for shipment at Northern IL Food Bank. This 2.5hrs session includes packing of cereal and granola bars for the hungry people who live in Illinois. Volunteers packed around 2000 lb of food today. This foodbank is maintained by 3 full-time employees and the rest of the work is from volunteers 😊!! We are grateful for the opportunity to serve these hungry people!!
