Internship

VT Seva invites high school students from around the world to join the "VT Youth Summer Internship Program" India during the summer of 2025 at VT Seva Sponsored Schools for Tribal and Visually Challenged Students. This program offers interns the opportunity to engage in cultural exchange and support underprivileged schools by undertaking various projects.

Interns will stay at the Jeeyar Gurukulam (School for Tribal Students) and lead workshops on topics such as spoken English, sports, geography, current events, robotics, and the arts. Throughout the internship, they will spend time with students in both boarding and classroom settings.

Program highlights

  • Up to two weeks of cultural exchange program with orientation and service learning 

  • Earn volunteer hours and get them certified for US President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA).

  • Experience the lifestyle of the Tribal Students and understand their needs.

  • Opportunity to take lead and prepare for project(s) before starting internship.

  • Develop new interests, make friends. Participate in local sports and other activities with the Tribal Students.

  • Opportunity to sponsor a Tribal student.

  • Opportunity to visit to a few local attractions/sightseeing, weather permitting.

  • Chaperoned by adult VT Seva volunteers from the USA.

Session 2: July 12th - July 23rd

and Selection will be done by 03/16/2025. 

 

Internship preparation : April 13 - June 22

  1. Attend hour long weekly meetings to prepare for the program.

  2. Sign and commit for program by 03/29.

  3. Consult your physician for any vaccinations needed.

Post -Internship commitment :

  1. Submit a blog about their experience.

  2. 1 minute video sharing the experience.

  3. Adopt a project and raise funds.
