In 2024, Nethra Vidyalaya achieved remarkable milestones across academics, sports, and innovation. Students demonstrated exceptional talent in national and state-level athletics, swimming, and blind cricket tournaments, securing prestigious victories, including the Challenger Cup and Para Athletics Championships. The Thought Notch Robotica team made history by winning the Indian Championship and presenting groundbreaking ideas on inclusivity at an international competition. Academically, both Nethra Vidyalaya and Jeeyar Gurukulam students achieved a 100% pass rate in public exams, reinforcing their commitment to excellence. Cultural achievements, including yoga and archery competitions, further highlighted their versatility. Vizag Nethra Tigers – State-Level Cricket Champions
On the occasion of 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝑩𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝑫𝒂𝒚, The Visually Challenged Employee Association (VCEA) in Andhra Pradesh, conducted the state-level Cricket Tournament, our Vizag team won the Championship. For more details:

IndusInd Bank Women's National T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind
Our Nethra students participated in the tournament and won against Chandigarh
22nd National Para Athletics Championship
Our Nethra students won medals in running and long jump at Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) Athletic Stadium, Bambolim, Panaji, Goa from 10th to 13th Jan 2024. Click below for more details
5th State Level Sub-Junior & Junior Para Athletics Competition
This event was held on June 30th at Police Barracks Ground in Vishakhapatnam. Many of our students won prestigiously and qualified for National competition.
13th National Junior & Sub-Junior Para Athletic Championship
Nethra Vidyalaya athletes secured top rankings in various categories in the National level on July 15-17, 2024, at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengalaru. 11 students acquired 7 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal, and 9 Bronze Medals! For more details, please click below

24th National Para Swimming Competition

A groundbreaking moment in history! The Thought Notch Robotica team presented on the powerful theme—'Breaking Barriers: A Robotic Triumph of the Vision Impaired.
Their journey from vision to victory was nothing short of extraordinary! As the first-ever FLL team from Nethra Vidyalaya, they shattered expectations by winning the National Championship Award in their debut year. Taking their innovation and resilience to the global stage, they proudly competed at the FIRST World Championship in Houston on April 2024!
They proved to the world that disability is not a limitation, but a different way of achieving excellence. With their unwavering determination and groundbreaking achievements, they inspired and redefined possibilities in STEM.

Our Nethra & Jeeyar Gurukulam students not only had 100 percent pass rate in public exam, but they all got very good scores.
