VT Seva Youth Leaders

At VT Seva, teamwork is taught to us from a very young age. We learn to recognize one another’s strengths and to work together respectfully. As we contribute to groups, we perceive that leaders begin to naturally emerge around us.

One of our enthusiastic and joyful volunteer Anushka shared her thoughts on Leadership - "Just a few weeks back, Vice President Kamala Harris was sworn into office. Seeing Vice President Harris on inauguration day, standing in front of the US capitol and representing the people of America, I was inspired by the growth and journey she’s had to reach such an illustrious position. Harris is a reminder for many children that no one can stop us from leading the country regardless of our gender, skin color or religion. In her speech on November 7th, Vice President Kamala Harris said, “…while I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last, because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.” I know that these words will deeply resonate with all women and inspire them to lead America and the world through positive change."

To celebrate youth volunteers leading several initiatives in giving back to the community, VT Seva is hosting First National Youth Award Ceremony on Feb 6th, 2021 at 5.00 PM CST.
