- Health Care | VTSWORLD
VT Seva supports healthcare VT Seva is dedicated to supporting healthcare initiatives. From mental health services and cancer awareness walkathons to informative sessions in the USA, VT Seva's India branch, Vikas Tarangini, organizes numerous workshops focused on women's health under Mahila Arogya Vikas program. This initiative aims for early detection of cervical cancer, offers assistance for diagnosed cases requiring further medical or surgical intervention, and conducts awareness and education programs to help women recognize signs and symptoms of various cancers. Additionally, under the Arogya Vikas banner, camps are organized for Pediatrics, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, and Dentistry. Moreover, the India wing also offers Ayurvedic healthcare services. How You Can Help: - You can donate directly to healthcare camps here (once you click on the donation form, you can choose "health care" for one-time or recurring donations). Why Donate? Many underprivileged families lack the resources to access hospitals or connect with the right specialists. The free camps ensure that we reach those in need and provide essential services and awareness. Have questions? Contact us at secretary@vtsworld.org . DONATE VT Seva supports Cancer Awareness and Prevention One in every family is affected by cancer. Sadly India has the highest number of patients in critical stages of breast and cervical cancer. VT Seva believes that “if a woman is healthy, the home is safe, and society thrives.” With this vision, they launched the Women Health Care Project – Mahila Arogya Vikas in 2007. Since then, over 1,200 free camps have been held, providing more than 250,000 VIA cancer tests, 6,379 biopsies, and 219 breast surgeries, raising awareness among over 1.2 million women. VT Seva discreetly offers services to the community, intentionally avoiding the term ‘cancer’ to prevent fear among locals. Mahila Arogya Vikas conducts camps in remote villages across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra, giving many women a second chance at life. Each camp screens 150 to 170 women, and free medications are provided for their treatment. Cancer Awareness and prevention The first Cancer Screening Outreach program started on Oct 22nd 2007. Mobile van equipped with mammogram, ultrasound, X-rays, etc was used to help diagnose the cancer patients. Vikasa Tarangini Activities include Free cancer screening services in remote areas Breast and cervical cancer screening using colposcopes – VIA tests Provide Free Medicines Provide self-help materials, advisory consultations and follow-up support Women health care highlights Free medical lab is set up in the location where people live. Tests are done free of cost Results are immediate The captured picture of the patient’s condition in a laptop is shown to the patients immediately. The patients are explained about their condition. Medicines are dispensed to patients free of cost. If required, they are also recommended for follow up. Conduct a camp in your area A small encouragement from your side can bring a huge change in at least 500 women in ONE HEALTH CAMP. VT Seva invites you to come forward and bring a change in hundreds of families. What do you need to conduct a camp? Arrange a room with electricity 4 to 5 tables Water, Toilet facility A gas cylinder To organize a camp, on an average $ 1000 is spent including medicines. If interested, contact us. Give back to the villages where we came from, save those women from this deadly disease. Books For Africa works to help children who otherwise would not attend school by supplying educational materials to reduce or eliminate education costs. Most African children who attend school have never owned a book of their own. In many classrooms, 10-20 students share one textbook. Many people in the United States take these educational necessities for granted, but children in Africa cherish books.
